Georgina de Albuquerque, The Luminous artist

Georgina Albuquerque was one of the women pioneers  in National fine arts. He ahs learned how to paint in Taubaté with an Italian teacher Rosalbino Santoro. She has studied at Escola de Belas artes (fine arts school) in Rio de Janeiro and has improved her artist skills in France. She came back to Brazil in 1911, as a professional painter. She had exhibitions in Brazil, Europe and United States. She was the first  artist in Brazil of painting a historical paint in 1922. She was also the first woman to become the director of EscolaBelas Artes (Fine Arts School). She is considered as the impressionism introducer in Brazil. He was Married to Lucílio Albuquerque with whom she had two kids.
