She has started playing the piano as professional since she was 11 years old accompanying the Fêgo Camargo Orchestra. When she was 40, she was stood out in the national art scene with adaptation of the Monteiro Lobato’s book “O Reino das ÁguasClaras” (The Clearwater kingdom) for an operetta. She has created programs for children and teenagers which was leaders of hearing in Rio on MEC radio. On TV she has presented children’s education programs. In the 1960s, she marked the history of MPB by becoming the first woman to make music arrangements in Brazil. The most famous one was “A Banda” (The band), music of Chico Buarque winning the second Brazilian Music festival, sponsored by the Record TV in 1966. She has made the sound trade awarded movies, she has been a visual artist and writer of many comics. She was married to the conductor Hans Koellreutter with whom she had a son.
